API 5CT is the standard for Petroleum and natural gas industries — Steel pipes for use as casing or tubing for wells

API Specification 5CT – 4.1.35

short round thread casing (SC);

long round thread casing (LC);

buttress thread casing (BC);

non-upset tubing (NU);

external upset tubing (EU);

integral tubing connections (IJ).

Tubing is a Pipe placed in a well to produce or inject fluids (oil, gas and water).

2 3/8" is the OD of the pipe. that is 2 3/8 inch or 60.33mm

L-80 is the grade of the material. There are three levels L80-1、L80-9Cr and L80-13Cr.

L80-1 is the common one, L80-9Cr and L80-13Cr are highly resistance, hard to make and pricy. Always use for

Heavy corrosion oil wells.

EUE / EU: external upset tubing. It means that pipe ends are thickened outside, they are threaded and coupled with couplings.

R2: Length of each pipe. 8.53-9.75 meter length of each pipe.
