Weldolet is one of the most common branch fittings,which is welded onto the outlet pipe. The ends are bevelled to facilitate this process, and therefore the weldolet is considered a butt-weld fitting. A pipe weldoutlet makes a 90° branch connection and – comes in full size or reducing for a straight piece of pipe. A weldoutlet is designated by the run length by the branch length. For example a 1-inch weldoutlet on a 1-inch pipe would be a 1 X 1 Weldoutlet. A weldoutlet is designed to minimize stress concentrations and provide integral reinforcement without the need for reinforcing the weld.
