ASTM A106 Grade B Pipe Specification, High Temperature Carbon Steel Seamless Pipe, SA106 Seamless Carbon Steel Pipe

ASTM A106 Seamless Pressure Pipe (also known as ASME SA106 Pipe) is commonly used in the construction of oil and gas refineries, power plants, petrochemical plants, boilers and ships where the piping must carry fluids and gases that exhibit higher temperatures and pressures. C&N HongCheng's ASTM/ASME A106/SA106 seamless carbon steel pipe is used in high heat industrial applications, including process piping, boilers, compression stations and refineries. The addition of silicon enhances the performance of this product in high temperature environments such as steam lines and process applications.

A106 Pipe is used in marine applications, shipbuilding, petrochemical plants and refineries. A106 seamless pipe offers high durability, strength and wear resistance. The range of dimensions of A106 galvanised pipe varies from ⅛ inch to 48 inches. ASTM A106 Gr B Sch 40 ERW pipe is used for water and mineral slurry transport as well as boiler, structural and building applications. A106 steel pipe can be cold drawn or hot finished. SA 106 Gr B material can also withstand forming operations such as flanging and bending. A106 Gr B hot dip galvanised pipe offers better resistance as these pipes can be coated with a thick layer of zinc which acts as a protective coating on the pipe. The A106 Gr B Epoxy Coated Pipe is said to be more cost effective compared to the ASTM A106 Gr.B Seamless Pipe. They offer robust construction, high reliability and dimensional accuracy. A106 Grade B line pipe material can be formed into various thicknesses, sizes and dimensions. When the temperature of ASTM A106 Gr.B Seamless Pipe is between 2100 degrees F and 2640 degrees F, the HAZ can increase the ferrite content in it. Making the weld area of the A106 Gr.B FBE coated pipe reduces the cooling rate.
